Swordtails for Sale
Swordtails (Xiphophorus hellerii) are popular livebearers named for the elongated lower tail fin of the male. On Light Fish you'll find swordtails listed by hobbyists and breeders in a wide range of color morphs — red, green, black, pineapple, koi, and hi-fin varieties, among others. They are hardy, active fish that adapt well to a broad range of water conditions and make excellent additions to community tanks.
All swordtail orders on Light Fish are backed by a platform-wide Live Arrival Guarantee. Fish are packed in breather bags with temperature-appropriate packs, shipped in insulated boxes via priority or overnight carrier, and weather-monitored in transit. Swordtails prefer temperatures of 72–82°F and a pH of 7.0–8.0. Like other livebearers, they breed readily — keeping more females than males reduces aggression and breeding stress.
